Carb shooting: the noisy tradition will soon be part of the Winter Exhibition in the Open Air Museum in Arnhem. In preparation for this, a film crew recorded carbide shooting by members of the Drenthe Carbide Shooting Foundation in a meadow in Fluitenberg.
Amid the laughter and the smell of freshly baked oliebollen, the first shots were fired. Although the Open Drenthe Championship was scheduled a day later, the tension between the different teams was already palpable.
The camera not only captured the powerful sound of carbide shooting, but also the mutual fun. The day ended together around the fire pit with an end-of-year toast to 2023.
