On Tuesday afternoon, a homicide occurred on Am Schlangenfenn street in Potsdam’s Waldstadt.
According to initial findings, a man is said to have injured a family member – probably his mother or mother-in-law – with a knife so badly that she died from the stab wounds.
Another woman was also seriously stabbed. It is believed to be the suspect’s wife. Paramedics took her to a hospital.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested by the local police. He also had injuries that were treated by rescue workers. Particularly dramatic: during the act, children are said to have stayed in the apartment.
