Wendy van Dijk will finally come back to television with something new in 2024. Is she about to end up on Angela de Jong’s slaughterhouse again? “I’m not a fan, no.”
It seems that Wendy van Dijk will get one more chance from SBS 6 to prove that she is worth a contract extension. A humor show is in the pipeline. Something like Ushi & Van Dijk probably goes too far these days, but perhaps we can expect something in the candid camera angle. One more chance, one more time, but Angela de Jong is a risk.
Typical Wendy
Wendy has been driving Angela crazy for years. Those two can’t handle or see each other. And if Angela doesn’t like Wendy’s program at all, she can completely destroy it with one column. What does the AD opinion diva expect? Does she think the presenter will go off the air?
She tells in the Weekend: “I don’t know how long her contract still runs. I like to be surprised by an amazing program with Wendy van Dijk. No, I’m not a fan of hers. I don’t like people who aren’t themselves on television. With someone like Wendy I really get the feeling that she is playing a character.”
More Caroline
Angela would rather watch Caroline Tensen, but according to her, RTL 4 does not treat that TV star sparingly. “I wish some people a better program. Take Caroline Tensen. I have great admiration for that, she is the queen of emo TV with Het Spijt Me.”
She continues: “To have her now present the residential program Buy or Demolish, which is a hodgepodge of everything we have already seen, I think is beneath her. I wish her a really good program.”
Less Yvon
And what about Yvon Jaspers? That could be a little less at Farmer Wants a Woman, Angela decides. “I think Farmer Seeks Woman is ready for a makeover. That is possible with Yvon in a smaller role. The moment of choice could also be different, but I don’t think that is appropriate these days. That could be a little more sensitive.”
She concludes: “The makers can learn something from B&B Vol Liefde, it is more organic there. There you won’t be told outright in front of a tribunal that you have to leave.”
