Players and association do not agree: start of MLB season postponed | Other sports

Tuesday’s meeting was seen as the last chance to start the season at the end of March. Rob Manfred, director of the MLB, said after the breakdown of the negotiations that the first two rounds will not take place. The parties had negotiated nine days in a row.

It marks the ninth time in MLB history that games have been canceled due to a money dispute between executives, clubs and players.
