Two men rammed several cars with their car on the A16 near Hazeldonk on Sunday. According to the Royal Military Police, the pair tried to flee an inspection. They have been arrested. No one was injured.
The car containing two men was stopped for an inspection around 2 p.m. According to a spokesperson for the military police, the men initially seemed to want to cooperate.
After a while, however, they fled. They drove at a speed of up to 190 kilometers per hour on the A16 and hit at least three vehicles, which suffered damage.
The men were of Romanian nationality and drove a car with license plates from Austria, the spokesperson said. The military police suspect that these are false license plates and are investigating.
