If you find the Kenner originals from 1977 to 1984 a little too small and the faces of the “Star Wars” heroes seem too undefined (if not unrecognizable), then the “Star Wars: The Black Series” is for you. Figure from Hasbro Pulse might be a little better off. The figures are 15 centimeters tall and extremely detailed. Here we test how well they perform as action figures.

“Star Wars: The Black Series – Pre Vizsla”

Presented with Pre Vizsla Hasbro Pulses a character from the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”. Pre Vizsla – not to be confused with “Mando” – was the governor of Concordia, a moon of the planet Mandalore, at the time of the Clone Wars. He was secretly head of the Death Watch, an organization seeking control of Mandalore. The figure comes with 5 accessories, including the jetpack, two guns and a Darksaber.

Negative:

The Darksaber can be attached to the jetpack, but that doesn’t do much good. He falls off.

Positive:

The helmet sits extremely tightly on the head and is difficult to take off. That’s not bad, but good. Too often you lose helmets while playing. The helmet even fits the heads of other Black Series figures.

The Darksaber is not a flabby rubber line, but stable.

The pistols have a firm hold in the holder.

Rating:

8/10

“Star Wars: The Black Series – R2-D2”

This new figure from Hasbro Pulses no longer needs much of an introduction: the droll droid, loyal companion of Luke Skywalker, is the most popular in the “Star Wars” universe. This figure, in turn, is inspired by the version in The Mandalorian (which isn’t noticeable – what’s the difference?). R2-D2 comes with 6 accessories including pistol arm, tool arm and telescope.

Negative:

The third foot (in the middle) can be extended, but is shortened compared to the feet on the right and left, so it doesn’t provide any stability. If you tilt the droid forward to support it on the leg in the middle (and compensate for the difference in height ), R2-D2 immediately tips over completely.

Positive:

Nothing to complain about otherwise. The tools can be firmly stuck in the body and the dome of the droid can be easily rotated. R2-D2 also has a tool compartment.

Rating:

8/10
