No invoice for help from the Fluvia zone during storm

The teams of the Fluvia fire department intervened more than 2,000 times in the zone, it was all hands on deck for days. However, the costs are not passed on to the victims.

The zone gets the money from its operating resources, about 300,000 euros. “With this we save a lot of discussions and ambiguities,” they say at the zone. “This is also a serious reduction in costs for the invoicing service when drawing up and following up all invoices.”

“Bad signal”

The mayors of all municipalities and cities in the Fluvia zone see it as their duty not to send an invoice. “It would now send a bad signal in times of crisis and damage,” said chairman Francis Benoit.
