Chantal Janzen launched her own media brand &C (pronounced: and see) in January 2018. With a glossy every month, various specials – such as a holiday book and baby specials – a video channel, app and webshop. In recent years, &C has looked for a good positioning among other lifestyle media brands such as LINDA., Elle and Cosmopolitan. What sets &C apart? How are the circulation and online reach going? How does &C deal with its advertisers? And which revenue models has &C chosen?

The media brand of Chantal Janzen and her husband Marco Geeratz is mainly inspired by media brands such as Goop (the international lifestyle media brand of actress Gwyneth Palthrow). The brand sees opportunities in e-commerce and good collaboration with advertisers. For example, &C created the mother and child glossy ‘Oh Baby’ (90,000 copies) in collaboration with Etos and will launch Transavia’s new in-flight magazine in early December 2023.
