Harry began his thank-you speech by showing his support to the citizens of Ukraine living in the midst of the war. He also said he believes he and Meghan are meant to be together despite their different backgrounds.

– It is clear that my background is very different from my incredible wife, but our lives met on purpose. We are united by a commitment to service, a responsibility to fight injustice, and a belief that neglected people must be listened to.

Not everyone thought the duchess deserved that award. British journalist and presenter Piers Morgan has repeatedly criticized Harry and Meghan on TV shows as well as on the show. Once again, he made his position clear On Twitter.

– Can you imagine the two clowns who find their families on TV, use their royal titles for financial gain, and preach equality and the environment from their California mansion and private jets get the prize? Funny, Morgan writes.

Morgan was also not impressed when the duke couple issued a statement last week against the war in Ukraine.
