The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded winger Eric Robinson, 28, to the Buffalo Sabres. Sportsnet was the first to report on the matter.

The Buffalo Sabers confirmed the trade on Wednesday night. Columbus, managed by Jarmo Kekäläinen, receives a conditional seventh-round reservation from Buffalo for the summer 2025 booking event.

It’s not about any giant store, but at least some kind of gaming movement. With Robinson’s departure, Columbus freed up $1.6 million in payroll.

Robinson managed to play seven games in the NHL and nine games in the AHL this season. In Columbus, he completed only one goal.

The most effective season of the Blue Jackets’ perennial forward was 2021–22, when he finished with 10+17=27 points in 67 games.

The Blue Jackets’ early season has been miserable. In 27 matches, the team has collected 21 points. It ranks as the jumbo of its division.
