LOOK. Man breaks world record ‘leap of death’ on 40.5 meter high cliff | Abroad

A new world record ‘leap of death’ has been set: 35-year-old Ken Stornes made a record jump from a cliff from a height of 40.5 meters. The images show how the Norwegian first throws a stone to break the tension on the water surface and then jumps into the icy water.

‘Death diving’ is an extreme sport that originally comes from Norway. The idea is to jump from heights with outstretched arms and legs and then retract them at the last moment, as the new record holder perfectly demonstrates in the images.

Stornes calls himself a Viking and often shares images of spectacular jumps. “I like a challenge and I like to do things that can be a bit risky. At least that gives me the feeling that I am alive,” he said in a response.
