The 6,000 LED lights of the largest Christmas bauble in the world at DOT Groningen will be lit for the last time on December 6 around 7:45 PM.
The Christmas Ball has an enormous attraction for Groningen residents, tourists and photographers every year, which makes DOT one of the most attractive locations around the festive month.
Recovery is too expensive
The lights, which have traditionally been lit since 2017, can be seen for the last time this year due to their age. Unfortunately, repair or replacement has proven to be too expensive. The DOT team will start working on new ideas from January, and tips from Groningen are of course very welcome.
