Lübeck’s keeper
Goalkeeper Florian Kirschke from VfB Lübeck will end his career during the winter break. The 31-year-old decided to do this because of persistent back problems and after a diagnosis from the club’s medical team that pain-free competitive sport was no longer possible for him. Kirschke played 38 games for VfB and celebrated promotion to the 3rd league last summer. His contract, which originally ran until the end of the season, will be terminated with effect from December 31st.
