Who, oh who, in Drenthe is still entitled to money from the State Lottery? The company would like to find out. That is why it deployed two gliders today to reach as many people in Drenthe and to draw their attention to the fact that no fewer than 478,885 lottery tickets are still looking for a winner. No less than 3.95 million euros will be distributed among those tickets.
These are tickets from the 2022 draw. Every year, players do not redeem their winning New Year’s Eve ticket. This always concerns lottery tickets that were purchased in the store. Prizes awarded to tickets purchased online or via a subscription will be automatically transferred to the winner. To collect a prize, the winner must present the New Year’s Eve ticket at a sales point of the Dutch Lottery, of which Staatsloterij is part. The ticket is valid for one year.
According to Michel Kastelijns of the Staatsloterij, there is more than just prize money. “Also electric MINIs that buyers of a New Year’s Eve ticket can win every year, but also a large number of cash prizes. In the coming weeks we will make every effort to call on all winners throughout the Netherlands – including Drenthe – to play again at home. to search for the winning ticket and redeem their New Year’s Eve ticket as quickly as possible.”
Willem Koopman, owner of Tabakspeciaalzaak W. Koopman in Hoogeveen, is one of the Drenthe retailers who are eagerly awaiting potential winners. “I would like to urge the winners of the 2022 New Year’s Eve draw to hand in their tickets as soon as possible. It would be a shame if those tickets were left lying around. People have already won prizes at our store. For example, there are six won a ton of prize money and in 2018 a buyer won a MINI for the first time. That was extra special, because the winner lives within walking distance of our store. I also have warm memories of an 85-year-old lady who won 25,000 euros.” , he says enthusiastically.
Time is now running out. People have until December 31 this year to collect their prize. If people still do not collect their prize, the prize money will go to charities, NOC*NSF and the Dutch state.
