‘Wool for Future’ pop-up in the record

The ‘Wool for Future’ pop-up is taking place again in the Berliner Platte.

The interdisciplinary fashion location will be the venue for a pop-up for the second time, which will show the diversity of wool, Platte.Berlin announced on Friday.

As part of the pop-up, events, workshops and a temporary shop space will be created with collections from various designers who use wool in creative ways. Installations by the Polish artist Katarzyna Piasecka decorate the location.

Among the designers represented are Ines Gärtner, Iska Oris and W1p Studios. The Berlin label Dobedo offers woolen decorations such as lampshades, the designer Gregor Jahner, who is also based there, presents handmade wool carpets and the Italian brand Cornelio Borda presents its shoe creations made from the natural animal fiber.

Visitors have the opportunity to get creative themselves: at the opening event on December 4th, they can knit their own ‘Wooligan’ scarf. The offer takes place in cooperation with the German knitting accessories provider ‘We are Knitters’. As part of a workshop by the digital concept store ‘White Label Project’ together with Cornelio Borda on December 12th, small accessories can be sewn with alpaca wool imported from Peru.

‘Wool for Future’ can be visited in the Platte from December 4th to January 20th.
