This summer, Bond Beter Leefmilieu tested the blood of eight politicians (three from Groen, two from PVDA, one from Vooruit, one from Open Vld and one from N-VA) for the presence of PFAS. PFAS substances were found on every politician. “As expected, no one is immune. This test reflects that PFAS is widespread,” Bond Beter Leefmilieu reported in a press release on Tuesday morning. The organization is campaigning for a general European PFAS ban.
