The Israeli army has released the names of the thirteen Israeli hostages released by terrorist group Hamas on Friday afternoon. They are all women and children. The youngest hostage is barely 2 years old, the oldest is 85 years old.
– It’s about, among other things Doron Katz Asher (34) and her daughters Raz (4) and Aviv (2). Family have now confirmed their release. Doron was with her children at her grandmother’s house in Nir Oz when Hamas members massacred the kibbutz. Grandmother Efrat Katz was murdered, her husband Gadi Moshe Mozes kidnapped. Doron’s brother was also taken hostage.
Doron’s husband was not on the visit to Nir Oz and was unharmed. After the facts, he was shown images of his wife and daughters in captivity. “They are finally here, at home,” he responded with relief on Friday evening to the Israeli state channel ‘Kan 11’. “Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for the support and warmth.”
– Also Danielle Aloni (45) and her daughter Amelia (6) were released. They were staying with Danielle’s sister in Nir Oz when they were kidnapped along with other family members. Her sister Sharon, her sister’s husband (David) and their 3-year-old twins are still being held captive by Hamas.
Danielle sent a “last message” to her family during the Hamas raid on October 7. In it she said that there were terrorists in the house and that she was afraid they would not survive.
– Female teacher Karen Monder (54)her son Ohad Zachary (9) and her mother Ruthie (78): the three were taken from Ruthie’s house. Ohad Zachary celebrated his ninth birthday in captivity.
A cousin of the woman told Israeli news channel ‘News 12’ that the family could not express how happy they were about the release. “My uncle Avraham (78) is still in the hands of Hamas. We pray that he will also return to us quickly and alive,” said Marev Raviv.
– Adina Moshe (72) and Margalit Mozes (77) from kibbutz Nir Oz.
Adina was taken to Gaza after her husband Said was murdered in front of her. Her family discovered she had been kidnapped through a video they saw circulating on social media. It showed Adina sitting on the back of a motorcycle heading towards Gaza. She was forced to hold one of her husband’s killers so as not to fall off the motorcycle.
Margalit was kidnapped from her home. The woman overcame cancer, but could not take her medicine with her. She suffers from diabetes, fibromyalgia – a condition in which you suffer from long-term (chronic) pain in your muscles and connective tissue – and high blood pressure.
– Hana Katzir (77) was kidnapped from her home in the kibbutz Nir Oz, which she helped found. Islamic Jihad previously said in a statement that she died after “medical complications”, but that appears to be incorrect. Her husband Rami (79) – to whom she was married for 55 years – did not survive the Hamas attack.
Hana has three children and six grandchildren.
– Hanna Peri (79) became instantly known when images of her went viral. They showed how she was taken away in a golf cart during the deadly Hamas raid on October 7.
Hanna migrated from South Africa to Israel in the 1960s. She works in a grocery store. She also has medical problems. She suffers from diabetes and can barely see out of one eye.
– Yaffe Ader (85) is the oldest Israeli hostage released on Friday. She has three children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One of her grandchildren – Tamir Adar (38) – was kidnapped like her and is still being held by Hamas.
Besides the Israelis are too ten Thai hostages and one Filipina released. Nothing is yet known about their identities. In exchange, Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners on Friday evening.
Knife-pullers, stone-throwers and, above all, many minors: these are the Palestinians for whom Hamas wants to exchange 50 Israeli hostages (+)
