Lor “historic” clash between William and Kate, the two rivals for the first time together in a match of the two national rugby teams of which they are patrons, had an extra surprise: with them onin the stands of Twickenham stadium there was also the eldest son, George of Cambridge.

Sitting between mother Kate, 40, patroness of the Rugby Football Union English, and father William, 39, since 2016 patron of the Welsh equivalent, the Welsh Football Union, George, 8, enjoyed the game, which ended with the victory of the British and the great joy of Middleton.

Meeting various association presidents and volunteers before and after the game, William urged his son to shake everyone’s hands, always keeping his on the child’s shoulder. And George quickly got rid of his shyness, revealing that he plays rugby at school and is learning to tackle. Then the prince turned to his mother, stating: “But I haven’t tackled you yet!”. And her mother replied laughing: “Yes you did.”

George of Cambridge keeps himself out of family rivalries. Like the father
When asked if he cheers for his mother’s team or his father’s, little George has shown some diplomacy, just shrugging. His father William took care of revealing the current competitiveness of the Cambridge: “It has become a big thing between us,” said the prince heir to the throne. And pointing the finger at his wife, he added with an ironic smile: “She is obsessed, I try to keep myself out of it.”
