Nander lends his good friend Willem 90,000 euros to renovate his rotten house. A large amount, but it can be even crazier. These people from Brabant also helped others. From a free house to new solar panels.
House gift
Hans de Booij, the singer of hits such as ‘Annabel and ‘Thuis ben’, is even luckier than Nander. He was forced to sleep in a caravan and was in danger of becoming homeless. Gerard van der Horst helped him by giving De Booij a house in Fijnaart. A great gift from the real estate entrepreneur who is in the Quote 500 with a capital of around 220 million euros.

Lina (90) helps other elderly people
Lina’s weekly schedule is full of volunteer work. From delivering food parcels from the food bank to walking with lonely elderly people. Before she did all these volunteer jobs, she also cared for a sick neighbor for eighteen years. Despite her age, she is not yet thinking about quitting. “No way, as long as I can do everything I will continue.”

Free oliebollen
Nearly 700 families received free oliebollen from René Scheepers last year. That wasn’t the first time. Also in 2012, his wife Tiny and he baked 300 oliebollen for families who were having a harder time. The oliebollen are distributed via the food bank.

Jackets for the homeless
Homeless people in Eindhoven no longer had to stay in the cold in 2021. Stans Pruijmboom distributed winter coats in collaboration with the Emmaus thrift store. Coats were hung on trees in the city that homeless people could use if they had time.

The sun is shining again
Hanny did everything he could during the winter to save costs. The heating at 5 degrees, showering in the gym and cooking less. To help her, she received free solar panels and an electric heater from Martijn Loonen, director of M&R Solar Group.
