The World of Tim Burton it is the portrait-homage to an extraordinary director, a creative and visionary genius capable of giving a face and voice to fantastic creatures who have left their mark in the history of cinema.
The exhibition, divided into 9 sections, collects more than 500 sketches, drawings, paintings, polaroids, story boards, puppets and sculptural installations which later became essential elements of his live action and animated films. At the same time (until February 2024) a retrospective of the director’s films is scheduled at Cinema Massimo.

BiM-where Bicocca meets Milanthe large urban regeneration project and new cultural heart of the Bicocca district, will host the installation of the project until November 15th Extreme ratio Of Caritas Ambrosianain collaboration with the University of Milan-Bicocca and curated by C41.

The installation proposes the faithful reproduction of a cell measuring only 8 square metresan immersive experience of empathizing with prisoners to denounce the phenomenon of overcrowding and the feeling of loneliness. Built in the carpentry of the Bollate prison, the cell is accompanied by a selection of significant shots from the exhibition Re-shots. For me you go among the lost peoplewith the aim of encouraging an even stronger identification in the user with respect to the experience in prison housing.
In addition to the shots, three interviews with Ileana Montagnin will be screenedi (Head of the serious adult marginalization area of Caritas Ambrosiana), Amedeo Francesco Novelli (Photographer for Ri-Scatti ODV) e Gaia Pollastrini (Operational Coordinator of the Penitentiary Center of the Milan-Bicocca University) aimed at contextualising both initiatives – the installation and the photographic exhibition – highlighting their important value and social impact.

There will also be one present in the BiM exhibition space bibliographic research with readings aimed at delving deeper into prison issues: from social photography to living, from architecture to narrative to non-fiction, the volumes will provide a historical, theoretical and social framework of living conditions in prisons and re-education in conditions of oppression.

Italy is one of the first countries in the world where it comes out The Hunger Games: The Rime of the Nightingale and of the serpent, fifth film – after The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay 1 and 2 – inspired by Suzanne Collins’ science fiction novels set in a post-apocalyptic future.
