1. FC Union has become modest. The draw in Naples (1:1) was almost seen as a win. Midfielder Rani Khedira (29): “I’m happy that we’re not left empty-handed.”

The situation remains critical. Especially in the Bundesliga. At the weekend, the people of Köpenick are threatened with falling to last place. It’s off to the front runners in Leverkusen on Sunday! Khedira: “In Leverkusen we are playing against probably the best team from Germany at the moment. We’re starting from scratch again.” To start a positive series?

Captain Christopher Trimmel (36) warns: “The team can be shaken, but the hardest work is waiting for us right now. The league is very important. Leverkusen is an amazing team.”

The one point from Naples could be a start. And he helps Union in the European Cup. The Iron Men can no longer progress in the Champions League, but third place – and “relegation” to the Europa League – is still possible.

There will be a duel in Braga (currently two points better) on November 29th. With a success in Portugal, Union would have all the trump cards, even if Real Madrid come to the Olympic Stadium on the last matchday (December 12th). Trimmel is fighting: “We’re not giving up!”
