The Finnish textile supplier Marimekko Corporation closed the third quarter of the 2023 financial year with increases in sales and earnings. This emerges from an interim report published on Wednesday.
Accordingly, sales in the period from July to September reached 47.9 million euros. This corresponded to an increase of nine percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year. According to the company, the increase was mainly due to the increase in wholesale revenues in Finland and foreign markets.
Higher margins ensured that operating profit increased by 16 percent to 12.9 million euros. The net result grew by 17 percent to 10.3 million euros.
In the first nine months of the current year, group sales were 123.5 million euros, five percent above the corresponding previous year’s level. Net profit fell by six percent to 17.5 million euros.
