One person suffers from leakage or soil that is too wet, while the other really enjoys that nice autumn weather. There seems to be no end to the heavy rain lately. So the question for you is: are you tired of the rain yet?
Pipe stems, drizzle, large and small rain showers: it goes on and on. Buckets and buckets of rainwater have been pouring down on us lately. Cellars are flooded, many North Hollanders have leaks and farmers also suffer from te wet soil. But… others really enjoy this rainy autumn weather. For them, the more rain, the more fun.
What’s that like for you? Are you a real one? pluviophilic? Or have you already booked an extra sunny holiday to escape this drizzly weather?
At De Peiling we would like to hear what you think about the heavy rain. Do you go outside as soon as it rains for a nice fresh (and wet) nose? Or is your roof leaking for the umpteenth time and are you fervently hoping for a few dry days?
Rainbows or leakage
The extreme wetness of recent weeks has caused problems everywhere in the province. Yesterday we heard about flooded homes in Amsterdam and a road that had to be closed in Zaandam. Today it appears that bulb farmers are having problems because the soil is too wet.
At the same time, there are also people who actually enjoy rain. And there have been a lot of beautiful rainbows to see in recent days, which makes many people happy, because you never know when you will come across that pot of gold.
The question in De Peiling today is: are you done with all that rain or do you like the fact that it is autumn? Are you going to sit on the couch with a blanket or even do a little rain dance outside?
