Manchester United arrived in Copenhagen with only a must win in mind.

At the beginning, it seemed that it would easily march to a three-point catch, because the former København top Rasmus Højlund completed two goals at a fast pace at his old home ground.

The home team didn’t seem to be involved in the match at all.

However, the atmosphere at Parken changed dramatically in the 42nd minute of the match, when the var council called the Lithuanian referee Donatas Rumšasin to the videos.

He drew the only possible conclusion: the United star Marcus Rashford had played carelessly when he trampled Elias Jelertin on the ankle.

The act was a complete disaster, but it did not save Rasford. The red card immediately turned the match in favor of the hosts.

The teenage star decided

First Mohamed Elyounoussi reduced just three minutes later, and the equalizer came even before the half-time whistle when Diogo Gonçalves shot the ball into the net.

Rumšas whistled the loudest because Harry Maguire scooped the ball with his hand.

However, United manager Erik ten Hag was able to instill faith in the visiting team in the dressing room.

Onnik also started to smile, because the ball touched By Lukas Lerager hand inside the box. Captain Bruno Fernandes allowed United to take a 3–2 lead from the spot.

It was by no means the last goal, because the further the match progressed, the heavier the leg of the away team, who was playing in a short position, got.

Lerager made up for his own mistake by leveling the match from close range in the 83rd minute. United’s Diogo Dalot sat down next to the Dane.

The only 17-year-old Swedish promise gave the final blow to the European dreams of the red shirts Roony Bardghjiwho scored a 4–3 winning goal from a half volley.

The defeat left Manchester United jumbo in Group A, and they face a tough away match at home to Galatasaray and Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.

Only a miracle can save it to the top 16.
