The 2024 Sugar Beach International Croquet Cup will take place from January 25 to 29: the first croquet competition in Mauritius
The winner of the singles tournament will be invited to defend his title in the 2025 edition of the SBICC
World-class croquet can be put to the test from January 25 to 29, 2024 in the first edition of the Sugar Beach International Croquet Cup (SBICC)elevating ‘Crazy Croquet’ to a new level, a Come Alive experience.
The tournament will be held at the resort Sugar Beachon the west coast of Mauriciowhich will combine croquet, incredible views and opportunities to connect with players and enthusiasts from around the world.
THE RULES OF CROQUET
Croquet is played individually or in teams of 2 to 8 players. The objective of the competition is to move the wooden ball as quickly as possible by advancing it with a mallet. The ball must follow a precise path, delimited by hoops, under which it must roll.
This event, endorsed by the South African Croquet Association, presents a golden opportunity to learn the art of the sport.
Registered players will have the opportunity to compete against the best croquet players in the world, such as the current world number 1, Robert Fletcher.
Other players such as Jenny Clarke and Guy Scurfield and the winner of the singles tournament will be invited to defend their title in the 2025 edition of the SBICC.
