The PSOE demands that Feijóo condemn the attacks on socialist headquarters: "They are not going to intimidate us"

The PSOE has reacted to the chain of attacks suffered in different party headquarters demanding Alberto Núñez Feijóo to condemn these events, something that for the moment the leader of the PP has not carried out. While the socialists speed up the negotiation about the future amnesty law with Together for Catalonia so that the formation of Carles Puigdemont support the investiture of Pedro Sánchez, Political tension is increasing on the part of right-wing sympathizers. Last Friday, hundreds of people gathered without authorization from the Government Delegation in front of the PSOE headquarters, on Ferraz Street in Madrid, and blocked traffic, in protest at the judicial closure of the ‘procés’. There was some shout of “Long live Franco!” This Monday, several socialist headquarters throughout the national geography (in Castilla y León, the Canary Islands and Madrid) have suffered graffiti.

“From the PSOE we condemn the attacks that our headquarters are suffering. Coercion, threats and shouts of ‘long live Franco’ in front of the town’s houses they are not going to intimidate to a party that in its more than 140 years of history has faced coups d’état, dictatorships and terrorism. We demand from the PP and its allies of the neofascist far right “Condemn these attacks,” say socialist sources, referring to Vox.

“Likewise, we ask you to condemn the cries against the Constitution, the Head of State, the President of the Government and in favor of the dictator Franco that are repeated in rallies called by far-right groups, and even include the presence of former regional presidents of the PP”, they continue in the leadership of the PSOE. Last Friday, the traffic cut was carried out by Esperanza Aguirre, who participated in the protest in Ferraz.

The call throughout Spain

The socialists, finally, allude without citing it to the call that Núñez Feijóo has announced so that those opposed to the amnesty gather next Sunday “in all the squares of all the provincial capitals” of Spain.

“Feijóo has entered a populist and reactionary drift which is only due to his obsession with not leaving the chair of president of the PP after his electoral failure. Spanish politics needs debates that contribute to improving the lives of citizens. More decibels and screams “They are not going to contribute to making a better country, although they may achieve Feijóo’s personal goal of resisting on Génova Street,” concludes the PSOE.
