“In this treacherous world / there is no truth or lie / everything is according to the color / of the glass with which you look.” The verses are from the poet Ramon de Campoamor. He wrote them almost two centuries ago to express his disenchantment with subjectivism and arbitrariness. Hence the “traitor world.”
