Van Roth

Van Roth is a coat label that custom-makes coats to order. It is characterized by complex silhouettes and exquisite materials as well as a love of art. “At Van Roth, the coat becomes the epitome of perfect sensuality,” as founder Theresa Kliebisch says. Modern and self-confident, the collection indulges in the love of Abstract Expressionism. The offer was largely inspired by the painting “1952-A” by the American painter Clyfford Still and the lithograph ‘Canto VIII’ by Barnett Newman. “As a style-defining work of art, the coat is graceful and timelessly beautiful,” says Kliebisch. “It is the constant in the midst of fashionable instability.” The contradictions in design and construction maintain the tension between the familiar and the strange. Van Roth establishes the coat as equal parts wearable sculpture and exclusive piece of clothing.
