Beaches are being raised: 1.5 million m³ extra sand

Huge pipelines carry a mixture of sand and water to the beach. The water drains into the sea, the sand remains. In this way, Dredging Company Jan De Nul is once again raising the beaches of Ostend, De Haan and Koksijde, among others. The works on the beaches will take place from February to April. In total, about 1.45 million cubic meters of sand will be sprayed on.
