A 57-year-old woman was attacked with a hammer at a subway station in New York City on Thursday. The perpetrator hit the woman, named Nina Rothschild, on the head no fewer than 13 times, robbed her and then went on the run. Rothschild was taken to hospital in critical condition. The New York police are now searching for any trace of the perpetrator.
