World Savings Day reminds us how important it is to put something aside for rainy times. And this while politicians are throwing money around and national debt is rising.
Even as children we are given money boxes and learn how important it is not to spend everything right away. To be prepared for unforeseen expenses.
But politicians spend the money with full hands. And that while saving is becoming more difficult for many people. The cost of living is rising while incomes cannot keep up.
It is not only important to keep an eye on public finances, but also to take measures to make it easier for citizens to save.
