Update Yelo League
The Saudi Arabian second league, the so-called Yelo League, has been in Transfermarkt’s database since September. A market value update has now been carried out for the first time. Despite a loss, the most valuable player remains Haris Belkebla (29) from Ohod Club, who falls from 3 million to 2.5 million euros.
Close behind the Algerian is ex-Atlético professional Luciano Vietto (29, Al-Qadsiah FC) with 2.3 million euros, who was also devalued – by 200,000 euros. The long-time defender of 1. FSV Mainz 05, Alexander Hack (30, Al-Qadsiah FC), goes down another 100,000 euros more. With an estimate of 2.2 million euros, he still maintains third place, where he lies together with teammate Álvaro González (33; -100 thousand euros).
In addition to Hack, two other German footballers, who are also brothers, are active in the Yelo League: Joy-Lance Mickels from Al-Faisaly FC (29) and Leroy-Jacques Mickels from Al-Taraji Club (28). While the former receives a loss of 100,000 euros to 800,000 euros, his brother easily increases by 50,000 euros to 200,000 euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this will be here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed definition of market value).
