Two weeks after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, new details are still emerging. Israel’s President Yitzchak Herzog (63) reported a shocking discovery in an interview with the British broadcaster Sky News.
Instructions for the construction and use of chemical weapons were found on killed terrorists! Specifically, it was about poison attacks with cyanide.
After the massacre at Kibbutz Be’eri, Israeli soldiers found a USB stick in a terrorist’s pockets. It contained documents and diagrams for building a bomb containing cyanide. The origin according to Herzog and Sky: a handbook of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda from 2003.
In Sunday evening’s interview, President Herzog outlined how Israel’s enemies are collaborating: “It’s official material from al-Qaeda. We are dealing with ISIS, al-Qaeda and Hamas.”
The president also defended the Israeli army against accusations that it was endangering the Palestinian civilian population: “That’s not true. We have clear goals. We said we would destroy Hamas’ military infrastructure. We said that clearly. We are careful. Two weeks have passed without the ground offensive being launched because they are cautious.”
Herzog said he also mourned the deaths of Palestinian civilians. Above all, he mourns his compatriots who were killed.
