As an absolute A-star, Chantal Janzen knows very well how to behave in the media: diplomatically. The presenter nevertheless steps out of character for a moment when she is asked about Thijs Römer. Then she makes it very clear that she no longer has any interest in the actor with whom she was good friends for a long time.
‘It’s terrible’
Chantal has been very close friends with Igone de Jongh for ten years. She put Thijs aside this summer after his conviction for online abuse of underage girls and the leaking of his cheating.
“It’s terrible,” Chantal said in an interview with the weekly magazine Story. “And to think that I drew his attention to her at the time… It’s not that I linked them together, but I knew that Igone liked him and I told him that during a conversation with Thijs.”
Evenings out
Thijs then sent Igone a message on Instagram and they soon fell in love. As a couple they often went out for dinner with Chantal and her husband. But now she will never sit at the table with him again. “I still have very good contact with Igone. I no longer hear or see Thijs. I do not want that either.”
Chantal is finally done with Thijs. “He hurt my girlfriend and I say goodbye to such people.”

How is Igone doing now? “It goes well with her. She has another house. It’s good to see that she’s getting back on her feet. And of course I will always be there for her.”
