Alba Berlin also lost their third game in the Euroleague. The Bundesliga basketball team lost to top Italian team Virtus Segafredo Bologna 76:87 (26:44) on Wednesday evening.

This means that the pointless Berliners are still stuck in the bottom of the table in the premier class. The best Berlin throwers were Sterling Brown with 17 and Matteo Spagnolo with 15 points.

Without the two injured centers Yanni Wetzell and Khalifa Koumadje, the Berliners struggled from the start. But rebounding wasn’t a big problem at first. But the Italians presented themselves very accurately, while Alba had little success offensively. In the first quarter the guests only managed a meager eleven points.

Things didn’t get much better offensively in the second half. But at least the Berliners were able to improve defensively, so that Bologna could no longer score points so easily.

After the break, Alba rebelled again and was able to reduce the deficit to single digits in the middle of the third quarter (44:53). But Bologna always had an answer and so the home win was never in serious danger. But the Berliners at least fought until the end and were able to make the defeat more bearable.
