Roos Moggré is very pissed off at Ryanair. She got there last minute found out that she had booked the wrong destination and the rebooking costs were very high. “God punishes immediately!”
It seems that Roos Moggré will not be boarding a Ryanair plane anytime soon. The EenVandaag presenter has had it with the price fighter among the airlines. Her husband and she recently went to Portugal with some friends, with Faro as destination, but she made a big mistake during the preparations.
‘F*ck up’
Roos had not booked a plane ticket to Faro, but to Porto. “That is also in Portugal, but a five-hour drive from our final destination,” she writes in her column in LINDA.
Why did she do that? “After a long day at work, almost in the middle of the night, my husband and I booked that damned ticket with crossed eyes. To f*cking Porto. When we found out (…), the mood was not great, to say the least. To this day, there is debate about what caused this f*ck up.”
2,500 euros
But what did Ryanair do wrong? They did not want to rebook Roos for free. “A phone call to the airline told us that rebooking to Faro would cost 2,500 euros. A call for which I first had to wait on hold for two hours. At their own expense. Book with Ryanair, God punishes immediately.”
Ryanair is customer unfriendly, Roos complains. “The music on hold was endless and the employee was slow. ‘But why did you book the wrong flight ma’am?‘I felt more and more like putting my mobile phone somewhere where the Portuguese sun doesn’t shine.”
To Porto
In the end, Roos spent all those hours on the phone for nothing, because she simply flew to Porto. “Because renting a car is cheaper than rebooking.”
The rest of Roos’ group of friends simply traveled straight to Faro.
