It seems that Rob Kemps is heading for an inglorious retreat at SBS 6. He barely does anything for the channel, but is cashing in a lot in the meantime. “20 thousand euros per month!”
Rob Kemps never lived up to expectations. He seemed like the one for a moment rising star of Dutch television, but what a deception all his programs were. Whether it is The Wheel or The 10 Questions; they were all flops in terms of content and ratings. What should happen next?
Rob doesn’t do anything
After sitting on the bench for a long time, Rob will soon come up with a program for which he and singer Bouke follow in the footsteps of Elvis Presley. The gentlemen made one TV trip for this purpose. Furthermore, Rob simply doesn’t do anything for SBS 6.
Tina Nijkamp, the former boss of the channel, thinks that is crazy. She points out that she has read a lot in Hilversum analysis channel. “The first images of Rob Kemps and Bouke’s Elvis program were shown on Shownieuws. It is the first program for Rob Kemps since The 10 Questions.”
At least 20 thousand
Rob works very little, Tina thinks. “So he has not been seen on SBS 6 for a year, even though he does have a contract and probably receives at least 20,000 euros transferred every month. His contract runs until March 2024.”
She herself had already put him to work, the TV expert concludes. “Why doesn’t SBS 6 use Rob Kemps for a program like GoedNieuws Today or Shownieuws? Otherwise, Rob doesn’t have to work very much for his contract. Foreign. Could just be over and done with SBS 6 after March 2024.”
Because then his contract expires. An extension? Don’t count on it…
