    15:51

    Third conclusion:
After 20 minutes, the Eisbären Berlin deservedly lead 2-0 in their home game against EHC Red Bull Munich. Both teams approached the matter very concentratedly, there were comparatively few attempts on goal (6:3 shots on goal). Gradually the home team emerged as the better team and took a more targeted offensive approach. The two goals were a logical consequence. The guests were only able to make a significant impact in the majority. This also gave the Red Bulls one really good chance to score, which would have equalized. After Berlin’s penalty expired, the polar bears set the tone again.

Shortly afterwards the disc fidgets in the net. Leo Pföderl shoots to the right of the blue line. Zach Boychuk has positioned himself in the shooting lane, holds the blade in and makes a winning deflection. Given the short distance, Mathias Niederberger can’t do anything in the Munich goal. This gives the Canadian his seventh goal of the season.

As a result, the hosts’ leadership is fine. The league leaders are coming back. Zach Boychuk crosses to Marcel Noebels, who misses the goal with his shot.

With a full complement, the home team sets the tone again. The disc is currently running well again. Ultimately, Benjamin Finkelstein takes a shot in the right faceoff circle and misses the target.

Kramer in front of the empty goal! Nico Krämmer is lurking half a meter to the left of the goal, receives the pass from Andreas Eder and puts his right knee on the ice. The gate is completely open, but the window slides past just to the right. Shortly afterwards, the polar bears are allowed to replenish their ranks.

On the left in the opponent’s third, the home team captures the disc. Julian Melchiori immediately has his head up and plays to Patrice Cormier behind the goal. 3:31 p.m

A long pass from the Munich zone finds Nico Krämmer on the right in the attacking third. In the second attempt his shot comes through. Jake Hildebrand stops this.

  • 9.

Suddenly it’s a two on one for the polar bears. Marcel Noebels carries the puck to the left half of the attack zone, then passes it across to Zach Boychuk. There is little space left for this to the right in front of the box. Mathias Niederberger’s left guard comes towards him in a flash. The gap is closed.

With regard to the special teams, Berlin has one of the best penalty killings on the scale. With only three goals conceded when outnumbered and a rate of 91.18 percent, you are in the top 3 in the DEL. The Red Bulls, on the other hand, have the best power play in the league. Nobody scored more than ten goals in the majority and the rate of a good 30 percent is top.

  • 3:00 p.m

After four wins in a row, the Eisbären once again left the ice as losers on Friday, but only had to bow to the penalty shootout in the summit meeting with second-placed Straubing (3:4). At least that’s how the series lasted, with the Berliners recording something countable in all home games, plus two wins. Other than that, they only lost in foreign countries – but only twice, in Schwenningen and Mannheim.

  • 2:50 p.m

Most recently, Munich suffered three defeats in a row, failing to score in Ingolstadt (0-2) and on Friday at home against Wolfsburg (0-1). In between, there was a 1:4 defeat at home against Lukko Rauma in the Champions Hockey League. The last win dates back to the beginning of the month and a 4-0 home win against Iserlohn. The last away win came at the end of September in Bremerhaven (5:2). Since then, three times while traveling we have come away completely empty-handed. By the way, they have already qualified for the playoffs of the Champions Hockey League.

  • 2:40 p.m

Enormous title expertise comes together in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. The DEL record champion and champion of 2022 welcomes the reigning title holder. When looking at the current table, only the polar bears live up to the historically grown demands as the front runners. On the other hand, the Red Bulls are lagging behind in seventh place. However, the five point gap is still quite manageable.
