It is undeniable that Hélène Hendriks is a crowd favorite. The SBS 6 star is a regular guest in the country’s most watched talk show Today Inside and created a furore last summer by introducing a replacement that scored almost as well: De Oranjezomer. She walked away with the Silver Televizier Star last night.
John forgot
Hélène had a lot casual just planned a nice busy day, but in the end she was still nervous on Carré’s stage. Afterwards, the SBS queen is critical of herself: she is not satisfied with her acceptance speech. “I had to go on stage and then I thought: oh dear, I haven’t prepared anything,” she says in a live connection with Humberto.
She continues: “Maybe some thoughts, but I completely forgot to thank VI and also John de Mol. Everyone has an opinion about him and that’s okay – whether that’s justified or not, it doesn’t matter at all – but he is the one who gives a lot of people work and also gives them a chance. He did that to me and that is why I am here.”

There is also criticism from outside. Yvonne Coldeweijer does not believe at all that Hélène had not prepared that speech, she writes to her juicechannel. “The presentations and the speeches, guys… It was like that cringe. Still liked Peter P.. But Hélène 🤦♀️ had supposedly not prepared anything.”
Lying, according to Yvonne. “Come on girl, your speech was just rehearsed. So afraid of appearing arrogant? There’s nothing wrong with that, right? But then… dedicate your prize to ‘people who deserve it even more’? Please stop it. 😂 I thought for a moment that she was going to thank the people in healthcare. Furthermore, our little boy looked beautiful.”

Hélène did not manage to win the Golden Televizier Ring with her nominated talk show De Oranjezomer. “It’s not right!”, responds Wilfred Genee Today Inside.
The prize ultimately went to Oogappels. Wilfred: “A little bit of overkill, that could hardly be helped. It’s a beautiful series, I’m told. I’ve never seen it, but the people who have seen it all say it’s really great.”
A little crazy
Johan didn’t see it coming either. “They do have a viewing audience that would never participate in voting.”
Wilfred: “That makes it a bit crazy, but okay. Of course, we have already won two prizes with Hélène and Noa, so they thought: that’s it. Or not, Johan, don’t you think?”
Johan: “Yes, no, look… Of course, the public broadcaster had to win something, because that’s how the world works.”
Wilfred: “Or are we going way too far? What are you laughing at, Rox? Hahaha.”
