Here’s what can happen to members involved in the betting case if they are disqualified
Three-year ban for players who bet on football. If it really ended like this, what could the clubs they belong to do? If the Federal Prosecutor’s Office were not to ascertain “the direct responsibility of the club” nor that anyone within it was aware of the offence, the guilty party’s club could take action against its player in a betting case.

In the Fagioli-Juve case, the guidelines are dictated by the collective agreement signed by Lega Serie A, AIC and FIGC which in art. 5 paragraph 5 which provides for the suspension of remuneration, even in the event that “the footballer has been subjected to disqualifying disciplinary measures for sanctions relating to sporting offences, betting bans and doping practices”. However, the club could go further and ask for the termination of the contract itself (art. 11 paragraph 4). In England the situation is almost the same, here regulated by the Standard Contract. However, it is unlikely that the three clubs will follow the path of termination with their young players: Juve is linked to Fagioli, Zaniolo is on loan at Aston Villa and Tonali has been overpaid by Newcastle who, as it turns out, have no intention of giving up the his little gem, not even if he had to get a three-year disqualification.
