At least one person was injured this evening in an explosion and subsequent fire in a house on the Haarlem Turfmarkt. The fire brigade confirms this.
The explosion and fire happened around nine o’clock this evening. The windows of the house were shattered. It is still unclear how the explosion could have happened. The investigation into the cause is still ongoing.
The victim was taken to hospital. There was no one else present in the home. The fire was under control fairly quickly.
