The jury of the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2023 photo competition looked at almost 50,000 nature photos submitted from various places around the world. On Tuesday the jury awarded prizes in various categories. Laurent Ballesta won the major Wildlife Photographer of the Year title for the second time this year with an ethereal photo of a shimmering golden horseshoe crab. Carmel Bechler (17) from Israel became Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year. The winning photos will hang in the London museum from Friday.
