According to the production team, the taxi driver of Jukka Rasila and Mirva had not found the correct address, which is why the contestants’ coin task was not completed.
Radio host Tuukka Ritokoski made a big revelation this week in the live Aamulypsy broadcast The Amazing Race – program descriptions. Jukka Rasila and his Mirva-their spouses did not complete one task and arrived at the finish line prematurely.
Iltalehti reached out The Amazing Race – the responsible producer of the program to comment on the case. Executive producer Petra Martikainen confirms that Ritokoski’s big behind-the-scenes revelation is true. The production also knew about the case throughout the filming.
– The matter as a whole was known to the production and it was reacted to as required by the situation. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a delay in the flow of information, and the arrival of Juka and Mirva came as a surprise, says Martikainen.

According to Martikainen, the taxi driver chosen by Juka and Mirva’s spouse had not found the right place with the instructions given by Juka and Mirva.
– The driver had taken the situation into his own hands and ended up driving to the end point based on the information he received from another driver, Martikainen opens.
– For this reason, Jukka and Mirva arrived at the last stage without attending the previous task and were turned back. The drivers never know the addresses of the stages, and according to the rules of the format, the teams are always responsible for their journey and that all tasks are completed, Martikainen continues.

According to Martikainen, the case was supposed to be presented in the episode, but the plans changed on the operating table.
– The whole situation was meant to be included in the episode, but due to the duration of the episode, we had to shorten the scene, says Martikainen.
