Formula 1
For Max Verstappen, the Monaco Grand Prix became one to quickly forget. The Dutchman stopped at the start and drove his Red Bull in after one lap. This was followed by a crazy edition of the race in the principality. With Kimi Antonelli as the youngest winner who did not succumb even under the pressure of a restart. Lewis Hamilton finished second.

Antonelli wins!
The Italian points Lewis Hamilton to second place. Isack Hadjar will still give Red Bull a podium place after Max Verstappen’s retirement, if he is not punished afterwards.
Lap 77/78
Antonelli is on his way to his fourth victory in a row.
Lap 74/78
Hamilton keeps the gap at just over a second, but overtaking is almost impossible on this circuit. Gasly and Hadjar battle for the final podium spot.
Lap 73/78
With Sainz again dropping out of the race, but his car is parked in such a way that no safety car is needed this time.
Restart!
Once again Antonelli has nerves of steel. He keeps Hamilton behind him.
Lap 70/78
Two laps behind the safety car and then it is time for the restart.
Can Hamilton – who has just been told that he will not be punished for the alleged offense behind the safety car – attack Antonelli?
Standing start
The race will soon resume with a standing start! That could make for a spectacular ending.
Race resumes at 5:12 p.m
The FIA still dares to resume the race. We’ll continue again in 10 minutes.
Hamilton also investigated
Also Lewis Hamilton is under investigation due to a possible violation behind the safety car.
Rolling or standing start?
When we resume, the question is whether we will have a rolling or a standing start. There are still 9 rounds on the counter.
Severe punishment Russell
For George Russell it is a day to quickly forget. He just failed to pay a 5 second time penalty during a pit stop is therefore additionally punished with a drive-through penalty. The Mercedes driver has to make an extra lap through the pit lane and can therefore whistle for a good result. While his teammate Antonelli is busy with a flawless race.
Waiting for decision
All drivers have taken off their helmets and are standing next to the car, waiting for a decision from the FIA.
Kimi Antonelli seemed to be on his way to an easy victory, but upon a restart he will still have to work to keep Lewis Hamilton behind him.

Research Hajar
Is Hadjar’s podium place still in danger? Max Verstappen’s teammate is being investigated for allegedly making a mistake behind the safety car.
Debris on the road
We see images of the asphalt in the last bend and it doesn’t look good. Debris from the road surface comes loose. That could possibly have caused the crashes of Leclerc and Stroll.
Will the race still be resumed? That doesn’t seem very responsible at the moment.
There is the report from the FIA: it concerns the condition of the asphalt in the last corner.
Red flag!
The race is temporarily stopped! The tire stack may be so damaged that it is not responsible to continue the race now.
We see a cursing and ranting Leclerc in the Ferrari garage. And that was the very week he extended his contract with the team.
Crash Leclerc
What a mistake from Leclerc! When the safety car is sent away, the Monegasque immediately crashes into the wall! What a painful exit in front of his own audience.
Lap 65/78
Hadjar stayed in and is now in fourth place. Before Russell, who surprisingly has not yet met his five-second time penalty, while he should have done so according to the rules.
Lap 64/78
“I really don’t understand why you brought me in,” grumbles Leclerc, who sees his second place go up in smoke due to his team’s decision, or he will soon be able to slip past Hamilton on the track.
