During a signing session by Guus Meeuwis in Groningen last week, Willeke Schulten had her idol sign an autograph on her arm. The intention was to have it tattooed over, but on second thought she decided against that. “I didn’t see it well at first, but his signature looked like a penis,” laughs the doctor’s assistant from Noordwijk.
After the concert in Groningen, Guus Meewis would sign autographs for the fans. Willeke, a loyal Guus Meeuwis fan for thirty years, sensed her opportunity. She wanted a good signature from Guus on her arm to have it tattooed. “So Guus signs it, but when I said it was for a tattoo, he added an extra line to make it ‘a bit neater’, as he said.”
She had not even seen what that resulted, but her husband had. “When we went for a bite to eat in Groningen, my husband said: Guus put his penis on your arm. Then I saw it too: it indeed looked more like a penis than a signature.” They had to laugh about it, Willeke admits.
She shared a photo of Guus’ signature on social media. That message was liked and shared a lot. Guus Meeuwis also shared her post. The name ‘Guus’ now appears as a tattoo on her arm because it was well drawn. “The rest will come,” says Willeke. There is no appointment yet for a new signing session. The penis disappeared from her arm after a few washes.
