Metallica celebrates Judas Priest at the “Power Trip” festival in the pit

As part of the “Power Trip” festival, Judas Priest performed in Indio, California on Saturday (September 7th) and also announced an upcoming album. The following day Metallica also played at the “Power Trip”, but they had already delivered a strong performance at the performance of their metal colleagues the evening before.

They had secured very special seats for the Judas Priest concert, in the very front row, in front of the barricade. Many fans filmed the spectacle of Metallica enjoying the concert right in front of the stage.

The metal band also posted a picture from the show on Instagram and quoted the Judas Priest song “Rapid Fire”.

Even before the festival, Lars Ulrich told the ““Los Angeles Times” mentions that Judas Priest and other metal bands had a strong influence on Metallica’s development: “Obviously AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest were big influences. These three acts are a big reason why we wanted to be in a band.”
