1. FC Union Berlin presented record figures for the 2022/23 season at its general meeting.
Köpenicker achieved revenue of 174.143 million euros last season, around 50 million euros more than in the same period last year, as managing director Oskar Kosche announced on Sunday in the An der Alten Försterei stadium. And the Iron Club also increased significantly in another number: the club now has 62,722 members, around 15,000 more than rival Hertha BSC.
The profit after taxes across the entire group was 18.087 million euros (2021/2022: 12.685). For the first time, the Iron Men also achieved positive equity of 1.786 million euros. In the current season the value is expected to rise further to almost 13 million euros.

The capital club wants to increase its total turnover to around 190 million euros. The expenses for the licensed player department, which increased to around 60 million euros in 2022/23 due to Champions League bonuses, are only expected to increase slightly.
Overall, the Köpenick-based company expects a consolidated annual surplus of almost eleven million euros at the end of the season.
