The day before, Tyler Edtmayer narrowly missed the semi-finals; the 22-year-old from Inningen had to settle for 18th place. Stoephasius and Edtmayer had already represented the German Roller Sports and Inline Association (DRIV) at the Olympic premiere in Tokyo. At that time, Edtmayer caused a stir because he started despite a broken arm. The World Cup in Rome is also about collecting more points for the qualification rankings for Paris 2024 with the best possible placement.
