Two Drenthe companies are in the top 100 of the most innovative companies in the Netherlands. The Asser ByPoint and the Meppeler Ferr-Tech have been included in the Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100.
The list is an overview of the most innovative companies in the Netherlands and ultimately a winner is selected from it. A total of 300 companies were submitted, from which panels of innovation experts made a selection. All nominations have been assessed for impact on the industry and society, originality, availability, realized turnover and growth potential.
ByPoint and Ferr-Tech were therefore selected. The latter company made a name for itself with a groundbreaking invention to purify water in a sustainable way. The agent already existed, but Ferr-Tech came up with a solution that makes the purification agent sustainable and allows it to be used on a larger scale. The company has already won several international awards.
ByPoint developed the world’s first bicycle fall detection system that can sound the alarm in the event of a fall or accident without the use of a mobile phone. Because the sooner the patient is in hospital, the greater the chance of a successful intervention and the better the chance of rehabilitation afterwards, or so the idea is. The product came onto the market last year and has now been selected for the Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100.
The precise ranking of the Innovation Top 100 and which company tops the list will be announced on November 30. The winner receives an award.
