Ukraine president announces full mobilization
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky announced a general mobilization of the population in a decree on Thursday evening (local time). He did this in the aftermath of the Russian invasion that began in the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
The Russian news agency Interfax reports that the mobilization will be carried out within 90 days. Earlier in the day, Zelenski announced martial law and advised residents “not to panic” and to stay at home as much as possible. He then said Ukraine is “strong and ready” and “will win”.
